Yvonne Cariveau (formerly Yvonne Karsten) loves working with clients to figure out what type of web site would help them most and then working with her great staff to make that happen as cost-effectively and quickly as possible.

With a Ph.D. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Yvonne brings expertise in Marketing, General Business, Management, Accounting and Experimental Design to her role at VoyageurWeb. She has worked in a variety of places: as a statistician and outcomes measurement person at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, as an assistant professor at MSU, instructor at the U of MN, and at restaurants, rent-alls and motels over the years.

Yvonne is married and has two adult daughters.

Yvonne's first leadership training was provided by her entrepreneurial parents. She has participated in leadership training provided by the LifeWork Planning Center and YWCA and was a participant in Greater Mankato Blandin Community Leadership training.

Yvonne writes for local magazines and newspapers on occasion and speaks often on a variety of topics.

Community Activities
Yvonne teaches a senior level course in Entrepreneurship at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Yvonne is currently Vice-President and a Board member for Women Executives in Business and an active member of the CityArt Sculpture Walk Committee.  

Yvonne is a facilitator for the Diversity Council doing prejudice reduction workshops in area schools and an active poet in the Southern Minnesota Poets Society.  She and her husband run a yearly poetry event called "The Image and the Word" and she runs the Mankato Poetry Walk and Ride project which puts poetry along bike and walking trails around Mankato.

Her past board memberships and leadership positions have included involvement with the following terrific organizations:  Mankato Symphony Orchestra, Greater Mankato Diversity Council, Summit Senior Center, Riverbend Center for Enterprise Facilitation, Diversity Kiwanis Club.

She has also volunteered for these organizations: Greater Mankato Growth, Open Door Health Center, InterCity-Leadership Visit, Envision 2020, United Way.
