Yvonne Cariveau (formerly Yvonne Karsten) loves working with clients to figure out what type of web site would help them most and then working with her great staff to make that happen as cost-effectively and quickly as possible.
With a Ph.D. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Yvonne brings expertise in Marketing, General Business, Management, Accounting, Experimental Design and Statistics to her role at VoyageurWeb. She has worked in a variety of places: as a statistician and outcomes measurement person at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, as an assistant professor at MSU, instructor at the U of MN, and as a waitress, bartender and assistant manager.
Yvonne is married and has two adult daughters.
Leadership
Yvonne's first leadership training was provided by her entrepreneur parents. She has participated in leadership training provided by the LifeWork Planning Center and YWCA and was a participant in Greater Mankato Blandin Community Leadership training.
Yvonne writes for local magazines and newspapers on occasion and speaks often on web-related topics.
Community Activities
Yvonne is currently a Greater Mankato Diversity Council Facilitator and member of the Quality Improvement committee for the Open Door Health Center.
Her past volunteer activities have included: Board Chairperson of the Summit Senior Center, Participant in the Bellingham, WA InterCity-Leadership Visit, Envision 2020 participant, Outcomes measurement helper for United Way, Riverbend Center for Enterprise Facilitation board member, Secretary of the Diversity Kiwanis Club, President and Board member of Women Executives in Business.
