Options for hosting your web site with VoyageurWeb.

Shared Server -- Your site is hosted on one of VoyageurWeb's shared web servers with solid security and plenty of bandwidth to the Internet. Multiple web sites share space on one machine -- like an apartment. Best for:

Most new web sites
Smaller sites (less than 60 pages or 50Mb of data)
Typical per month budget of $15 to $55
Web site access statistics

Dedicated Server -- Your site is hosted on a server behind our firewall. You either own the server (server co-location) or lease it from VoyageurWeb -- like a condo. Best if you:

Have a server but need more bandwidth or support
Have strong security needs (Intranet, etc.)
Want flexibility in hosting services, but site has features that won't
transfer well between servers
need web site access statistics

Server at your location -- Your site is hosted on a server at your location that is always connected to the Internet via a high-speed line. Best if you:

Already have a high-speed line (T1 or better) to your location with spare bandwidth
Have in-house server administration staff
Have a highly reliable high-speed link to your site
Have your own firewall for security

Server Co-Location Co-locating your equipment in VoyageurWeb's server room gives you flexibility and control of your server without the cost of a high-speed line to your office -- like a house. Your server will be linked to the Internet via our high-speed connection and is protected by our firewall.

What is included?

SPACE: Sturdy rack space provided for your equipment.
ACCESS: The server room remains locked at all times and no unescorted physical access is allowed. We provide free escorted physical access to the space during business hours. After-hours access is available for a per-time fee.
POWER: Electrical use included up to a standard 300 watt power supply and 15" monitor.
BANDWIDTH: Bandwidth usage included up to 4GB/month. Additional bandwidth is available.

What is not included? Server hardware and software upkeep is the customer's responsibility, as the server is owned by their organization. Technical support is usually available from the manufacturer.
