Hiring : Full-time Programmer
VoyageurWeb is looking for a full time programmer to work with a team of other programmers, designers and project managers to create great web sites and intranets.
Must-have Skills:
- PHP and HTML (must be proficient with both)
- Database design and SQL query writing (for MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)
- Communication (documentation and discussion with other programmers)
Extra consideration will be given to those with these skils:
- Ability to write custom modules for Drupal content management systems
- Background in working with Drupal
- Background working with WordPress and doing custom programming with it
- System design skills
- Server administration (Linux - Debian or similar)
- Communication (discussing projects with non-technical people comfortably - can you tell a story explaining your work without losing them with jargon?
Job Notes:
- Work is primarily in our offices (no out of state or out of country applications please). In-office work exclusively for the first 3 months, then telecommuting options for a few days a week are possible.
- Work does not involve a lot of meetings with clients and very little travel.
- We offer a health care and retirement plan as well as a fairly flexible schedule and generally relaxed working environment.
