Derek Liebertz joined the VoyageurWeb team full time in 2009. He brings over 14 years of software development experience to the table covering both Microsoft and open source technologies. Software architecture and problem solving make his workdays fun.
Derek lived on both coasts before moving to Mankato in 2000. He grew up near Portland OR, earned an M.S. Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, but still calls himself a Mudder (Harvey Mudd College '92 alum). He remembers more college prank stories than he probably should.
Outside work hours, he can be found on the volleyball court late at night for "just one more game". He also enjoys time with his little brother via the Mankato YMCA Brother/Sister program, composing poetry, and relaxing with cats around the house.
